I spent years doing this. Every. Single. Time. And I kept thinking: "Why doesn't this exist?"
Christmas Day 2025
The moment everything changed
I was on a road trip to Florida. Somewhere along the highway, between the endless stretch of asphalt and the fading sunset, a thought hit me like lightning:
"This needs to exist."
Not someday. Not maybe. Now.
The first truly searchable, filterable laser cutting settings database. A place where makers could find verified settings in seconds—not hours. Where knowledge was shared openly, not scattered across a thousand posts. If it didn't exist, I would build it myself.
So I did.
Building What Should Have Existed
I started building immediately. The vision was simple but powerful: a searchable, filterable database where laser cutters could find settings by material, thickness, machine type, and more.
But this wasn't going to be just my database. It had to be community-powered. Built by makers, for makers. Real settings from real people with real results.
