What if I already track my settings in a spreadsheet?
You can keep doing that! But spreadsheets don't let you filter by material type, share settings with a community, or pull up a setting in 2 seconds while you're standing at your machine. Most makers who switch tell us they wish they'd done it sooner.
Is this worth it if I'm just a hobbyist?
If you've ever wasted a sheet of material re-testing settings you already figured out, it pays for itself fast. The Maker plan is $6.67/month — less than a single sheet of nice plywood. And the free plan lets you try it risk-free.
How does the 'Materials' limit work?
We count distinct materials (e.g., "3mm Baltic Birch"), not the settings within them. You can have unlimited settings (cut, score, engrave) for each material. Most hobbyists stay well under 50.
What happens after my free trial?
Your trial automatically converts to a paid plan, but we'll remind you before that happens. If you decide it's not for you, just cancel — no hard feelings. You can always use the free account.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Yes! You can switch plans instantly. If you upgrade, we'll prorate the difference. If you downgrade, the new rate starts at your next billing cycle.
I sell things I make — do I need the Merchant plan?
If you're making money from your laser, the Merchant plan's project calculator and invoicing tools will probably pay for themselves the first month. But if you just sell casually and don't need quotes or invoicing, the Maker plan works great.
What laser machines does this work with?
All of them. The Laser Workshop is machine-agnostic — it works with xTool, Glowforge, OMTech, Thunder, Boss, Epilog, and any other CO2 or diode laser. Your settings are your settings, regardless of brand.
