Laser Settings for Fabric
No public settings yetLasers cut natural fabrics like cotton, denim, and felt cleanly, and seal the edges of synthetic fabrics as they cut.
Tips for lasering fabric
- Check coatings
- Never laser vinyl-coated or PVC fabrics. Treated and waterproofed fabrics can release harmful fumes; check what the coating is.
- Synthetics melt
- Polyester and nylon melt rather than burn, which seals edges against fraying but can leave a hard bead with too much power.

Before you run these settings
Settings vary between individual machines, even of the same model: lens, focus, alignment, air assist, and the exact material all change the result. Run a small test grid on scrap from the same sheet first, never leave the laser unattended, and never cut PVC or vinyl.
